I've had dreams, of course, but I haven't bothered to update this thing with them!

Yesterday's:

I was a human trapped in a cat's body oddly enough. I'd been fighting this evil group of people when I was human, so I continued doing that as a cat. I'd do very un-cat like things like smuggle myself aboard cars, and run through groups of people to startle them and cause shit, yowling and clawing pantlegs and generally doing everything in my power to continue spying and foiling the evil group. At one point I think they caught on, I remember a remote-controlled full size box van chasing me around, trying to turn me into roadkill.

Today's:

I was with one of my coworkers (which is strange because things I know IRL do not usually appear in my dreams) and we were at this sort of.. halloween carnival at the top of a mountain. She was being hideously obnoxious and controlling, trying to take the car wheel and steer it around and although I tried to explain that when I'm driving, that's not something you do, she wouldn't listen.

So I got out and I started walking. I considered going down the mountain the way I'd come but I decided to stay and see what lay ahead. It was a huge nature preserve type area and I passed a lot of lakes and rivers with people camping. I saw one area that looked appealing and turned off onto the trail, heading uphill, I saw a woman and her kids playing on some rocks (also strange). There was also some kind of odd bit where people had routed a large river so it cascaded across these rock formations for some reason.

The mountains were red dirt, and I saw an outcropping up above where I thought I'd get some good photos, so I started climbing. It was very very steep, I quickly got to a point where even on all fours I didn't have the footing to continue going up cos it was more or less vertical, but I saw that outcropping up above that would work out. I dug my fingernails in, which were surprisingly durable, and managed to make it up to the top. At the top there was this sort of old communications device (think original telephone/telegraph type old school thing) and I used it to talk to people elsewhere, possibly that carnival from earlier. I also apparently found some veggie burgers/hotdogs in a fridge up there or something and they were tasty.

Not really as fond of that second one.. it's a giant mishmash of things I've encountered recently. I much prefer the wild fabrications where I'm not me and nothing around relates to real life, they're much more entertaining.

But, hey, at least I'm remembering dreams! :D

This dream was set in a quasi post-apocalyptic kind of setting, a bit like Blue Gender, but without the bug-related goo and corpses everywhere. The buildings were in absolute ruin, and the corpses of giant trees scattered the landscape. I was part of a small team who were sent to this city on a mission by a race of what I guess were alien creatures, called the trueborn. We were here because there was some kind of battle long, long ago, and we were supposed to figure out how many trueborn had died in it.

We were exploring this building, when I spotted a small child who didn't look older than 5. This child wasn't normal, he looked somewhat like a cross between a child and a puppy, without being really anthropomorphic. I stopped to talk to him, and everybody else kept going "What the hell, who are you talking to?" which told me that nobody else could see him. He led me to sit down at this large, decrepit, rectangular table and began to tell a story. I relayed the story as he was speaking it, and the rest of my team listened, spellbound.

The dream shifted, in a similar way to flashbacks/stories in normal filmography. The buildings were destroyed but in much more recent fashion, there wasn't the aura of centuries of decay on them yet. I saw a woman, she wasn't quite human, she was partially canine like the boy, dressed in form-fitting dark garments. She was running across one of the branches of a gigantic tree, carrying two short swords, and killed a couple of trueborn as she ran. (I remember one part of my party sounding incredulous as I relayed this part of the story, trueborn in the "real world" were very difficult to kill, but this woman had skills, almost ninja-like.) A man was sitting on one of the branches, and she ran towards him, preparing to strike... and he told her that they had her son, and if she ever wanted to see him again, she'd have to go free him from the trueborn.

The trueborn were squat, almost crab-shaped creatures, black or dark brown in color, maybe 3 or 4 feet in diameter. They had hard, chitinous insect-like serrations on their legs and some of them were covered with a very short kind of "fur". I seem to remember that their main source of power was psychic or mental in some way, and that they'd reached some sort of truce with humanity (and whatever this lady and her son were) centuries ago, and I remember thinking that the things I'd read about in history books were nothing like this child was describing to me. I have no idea how she was able to kill them so easily, I imagine she had some sort of immunity to their psychic powers, although I don't know how such a thing could be possible.

Anyways, the ninja lady was rather upset to hear that these beasts had her son... nobody really knew what the trueborn did with prisoners. She ran away from the man sitting on the tree, who simply laughed. The scene changed, and she was killing dozens of trueborn in this dark, enclosed, cave-like system of tunnels. The scene changed again, and I saw the dog-boy wrapped up like an infant or some kind of grub in an insect-ish sack, wiggling, and dozens of other similarly captured children (both human and canine) in a specially-designed room. They were being tended to by a couple of trueborn, and most of them were shelved like books in these crevices built into the walls. Regardless of what they ended up doing with these children, the care taken to make sure that they stayed well until then was immaculate. I also think the trueborn were telling them stories, which may or may not have been an attempt at brainwashing them. Their intents, regardless of whether they intended to eat the children, or merely brainwash them and send them home, were not benign.

The lady continued to fight her way through the tunnels, and came across the room where the children were being farmed. She looked on in horror for a moment before slaughtering the trueborn tending the children. She looked over the children carefully before finding hers, and, knowing that there was no chance that she'd survive if she had to rescue that many others, promised them that she'd return and fled the tunnels. The trueborn were understandably angry at her intrusion and were amassing their forces to go after her, but she managed to slip by them and escape.

Things get a bit fuzzy here, but I believe she told one of the few remaining settlements where their children had disappeared to, and that they had amassed an army to invade the tunnel system and get their offspring back, and that this discovery of their practices led to further battles. The kid disappeared after telling the story, and we decided to see if the tunnel system existed. It did, and we explored, trying to avoid the areas that'd been caved-in, and eventually found some sort of book that was written by the trueborn, recounting the battle that occurred after the lady amassed the population against them (but, as we noted, curiously silent as to the cause of the battle). I think this book had a record of war dead, and we left to wherever it is we originated from, mission accomplished.

I began this dream wandering along a fairly large valley with a river twisting through it. The river was littered with bizzare things, such as beds, that really had no business being in nature. I thought it was quite bizzare, but carried on nonetheless. As I continued, I found people... dead people. All frozen, looked like they had been killed by some sort of thing in their sleep. I think I was a woman, who may have been purple and vaguely saurian, and I had a smaller child with me. I feel like we were trying to escape from something perilous through the valley.

Darkness approached, and I didn't like this peculiar colored exhaust coming from some nearby trains. We pressed on, trying to stay away from this exhaust, and eventually we came across this wealthy man, who talked to us, and tried to convince us to come with him. This bizzare effect that seemed like the aurora borealis crept nearby, and the wealthy man rather nervously addressed this effect, telling it that we were coming with him, that we were his responsibility, etc. I asked the wealthy man what was going on, and he said that this aurora was in fact some sort of thing controlled by a "Mister Prosser", who apparently ruled these lands, and he didn't tolerate vagrants. I thought back to the hundreds of corpses frozen in the same position, back in the valley, and shivered. Apparently they'd all been killed by this thing. The wealthy man gave us some money, and we took one of the trains spewing the apparently harmless multicolored exhaust south.

Both the child and I got jobs here, trying to find a way to escape these bizzare lands. I got a job as a businesswoman, and the child was doing something where her hyperactivity paid off, I don't remember what it was. Somehow, in all of this, we ended up staying with some anthropomorphic dragon people, who had a small non-anthro dragon pet, which was quite sentient. There was some sort of ring which conferred sexual powers, which the wife of this dragon couple didn't want her husband to have, since he seemed a bit confused sexually. The pet got ahold of it, and despite her protests, tied her up using his tail, just as the husband returned home. He saw his wife tied up and decided to get it on, the pet left, unbinding the wife, and their child appeared, causing a nuisance and apparently asking what they were going to get us for whatever holiday happened recently. In his haste to get rid of the kid and spend some alone time with his wife, he wrote a check for a fairly hefty sum.

So, we took this money, and the money we'd made from our jobs, and continued south, to a theme park. Apparently this theme park was along the border of these lands, and it was the best way to escape without attracting undue attention, because going to a theme park was an acceptable activity. One could just slip over the border without too much notice because Prosser's men were apparently more worried about people sneaking out through uninhabited areas. I never got to see this theme park, because I woke up.

I had another dream dealing with some sort of Discovery Channel-esque documentary on helping to rennovate ancient things, and one of which that we helped to fix was this giant underwater fixture in the ocean, which wasn't constructed very well. For some reason we didn't have air tanks or anything, so kept having to come up for air while repairing it.

Groundhog day
07:15am 08/01/2006
This was a horrible, nasty, hellish dream.

Apparently we were doing some kind of study into the cumulative effects of time travel or some such. I am a test subject. I got zapped into the very-near past, and immediately, the past that I find myself in is being sucked into some kind of black hole. I have to throw objects into the hole in a particular order, so it's a task of saving the objects which are important and keeping them *away* from the hole, tossing them in, calling a girl who is standing nearby for some bizzare reason, and then somehow get into an ambulance and get taken away to another building. I go through this part of the dream hundreds of times, trying different permutations, until I get it right. (Think "Run Lola Run, but so much more repetitive.) Sometimes I try running away (doesn't work), sometimes I try stealing a car (also doesn't work), sometimes I try convincing people to give me a lift (nope), etc.

Once we arrive at this other building, a set of buildings in fact, with lots of columns and a conference hall sort of seeming to it, we discover that the thing which has been sucking up parts of our reality is in fact an alien life form. It booms into this set of rooms, and so eventually, after a few permutations of this scene, we learn to shut the doors to keep the horrible sound in. The sound is a gutteral hum, some weird, unearthly booming sound that reality seemed to think we shouldn't be hearing. (Think God in Dogma). It was extremely painful, but it managed to convey in one note very complex ideas about the fact that it was here because of our time travel experimentations, and that it would continue to interfere until we set the time stream right.

Then the mothership decended and started compressing matter at random, and it was time for myself and my illustrious team of scientists to dodge the beams. Stand in the wrong spot at the wrong time, or run into the wrong spot, and you became compressed. From the outside, it looked like you just disappeared. For awhile in this dream, I thought that maybe the mothership was just abducting people, what did I know? But then, in one of the permutations, I got zapped with the damn thing. The sensation was unlike anything I have ever experienced, and hope to never experience the same again. It's nearly indescribable, it's like being folded up an infinite amount of times, and being unable to expand outward. It was like being two dimensional. It wasn't painful, but it was restrictive, it was only existing in the directions of "in" and "out", and "out" was blocked. It was like being houdini in a straitjacket, padlocked and chained, and dunked into a tank, unable to breathe. Forever. I was able to continue observing what happened afterwards, as well, in some bizzare twist of fate I could still percieve, although I know not with what senses, and I percieved that the alien intelligence, frustrated with our failiure, ended up compressing the entire world. And then things reset, back to the beginning of the experiment, and I was tossing phone books into black holes.

Eventually we managed to dodge the compression beams, and we headed back towards the site of the original experiment, to try to fix things that way, and at this point, I woke up. This dream was extremely disconcerting and replayed itself thousands of times during it's course.

Intergalactic Engineer
11:13am 02/12/2005

mood: awake
I was a bright, young, female engineer. It was the future, and intergalactic trade had reached the point where it was no longer an exciting, fresh experience, it was more a trudging effort to remember the millions of different types of produce that are on the market at any given time. There was this squat, unfriendly man whom I was trying to help in his efforts to rejoin the intergalactic rat race, he seemed to be missing vital skills. For example, he was a trader, but he couldn't remember what things were. He said, "I can't even tell what's on a ship by reading the manifest any more." It makes sense though, really, when you have hundreds or thousands of worlds to trade with, that it'd get difficult to remember if a "zargblat" is a fruit from one or a moose-like creature on another.

Another thing I was trying to help him with was land-based air travel. He simply didn't grasp the mechanics of flight, in any meaningful way, especially not to the point of being able to pilot. He was used to just pressing buttons or ordering people around to get where he wanted to go.

The planet that we were on was beautiful. Especially the parts that we frequented - I can't speak for the rest of it, but where we were was like everything good from the Caribbean, but better. The beaches were whiter, cleaner, the waters were blue, or possibly a light lavender, I don't remember which. I was rich, I don't remember why, probably from inventing something important, and the only real problems I had were deciding whether to stay at my mansion or my beach house. (Note: This lifestyle would bore me to tears in real life.) I was warned by a person, though, that the guy I was trying to help might try to take my money somehow, or otherwise try to harm me, and I got rather suspicious after that.

There were other random bits that I can't wholly remember, I was slow getting to the keyboard and it was a long, drawn-out, and rather interesting dream. I think there were some mechas at one point, and a gaming competition that was a race, but rather than being an actual race, they judged on three different categories. Who got the most points, who had the most bonus items when finishing, that sort of thing, and I got irritated because I really was the fastest in the "race".

music: RHPS - Time Warp
Alright, so in this dream I was in... *drumroll* the FUTURE! Somehow, and for some reason, they 'saved me' (cryongenics?) and I woke up 200 years in the future. Apparently in the future, everything was very... matrixy. Everything that I saw around me was an illusion, and I'm not sure if it meant I was living inside of a computer (foglet?) or.. what. The point is, most of the time spent in this dream was dealing with realizing that it was an illusion, and thus, I could control it.

If I would have been a bit more aware I probably would have gone, "Really, just like a dream?" and then promptly woke up.

So anyways, I don't recall a lot of the setting but it was fairly urban. They gave me a house and such so I'd have a place to live. I guess poverty wasn't really that big of a deal when everything is illusory anyways. I remember walking down the street and looking in this house, and there was this raptor and his sister (human) playing video games. I remember getting this really weird view of the raptor guy, where I saw both a raptor and a little boy, talking and moving in unison. Anyways, I watched them for awhile, and then they noticed me, and seemed surprised and/or worried. They were expecting me to have gone crazy at the sight of a raptor playing video games, I suppose, but I wasn't bothered at all. He told me about the world, and demonstrated that he had what looked like telekenesis, and said that I could do that too... I tried, and nothing happened.

I remember watching tv in the future, and how the comedians hadn't really changed all that much, and one of their critics derided them for such, saying, "You know, that joke wasn't even funny 200 years ago!"

There was at one point this emergency, and I needed to use telekenesis to raise this baby up to a balcony over a pool. The mother was screaming next to me "JUST ADMIT YOU'RE A FAILIURE.." etc, very unencouraging. I dropped the baby, but immediately dove into the water to catch it, which was surprising because nobody swam anymore.

I got involved with this one woman, a very marla singer-esque type of person, and we were trying to flood one floor of this building so we could save the shellfish.. or something. There were a great deal of clams and other shellfish in buckets, and we more or less took over this building and turned it into a shellfish refuge. The shellfish didn't seem to mind. We also had lizards and snakes that we were trying to keep well watered in these fishtanks, but they kept trying to escape. At one point I was trying to fix the air conditioning.

Later, the Marla person coerced me into stealing a SUV while she stole a car, and we drove for ages eluding the police.. at one point we drove across/jumped what she called a 'time rift' which looked like a cross between a bridge and a waterfall, but didn't span the gap entirely. The police did not follow. Oddly enough, this 'time rift' didn't actually change what time we were in at all - but it had the possibility to. Especially if you took a specific kind of drug that Marla had.

I woke up several times during the course of this dream, and tried very very hard to remember even as much as I did. My brain, of course, being how it is, kept playing "Time Warp" over and over again, while I was waking up.

This dream started on a bus. I was doing... something, to catch a fairy, and I was hoping for one of a particular color. Different colors meant different realms of influence. I got a pink one, and I caught it and put it in a plastic bag, much as you would a goldfish. I tried to think of what I was going to do with this fairy, what wish I could ask for that was within it's realm of influence.

The bus stopped, and picked up a few valley-girl looking people who were, surprise, wearing pink. They confronted me and insisted that I let the fairy go, because it was dying, and they didn't want me to have bad luck from killing a fairy this close to Halloween. I argued with them for awhile, then looked down and saw that the fairy was indeed dying, so I opened the bag and let her out. The bus ride continued for awhile, certain people in the seats around me took notice of the fact that I let the fairy out. Some guy sat next to me and we started discussing the different types of magic, and how each type of magic has one particular race who was better at using it than others. I told him that he was full of crap, and used chaos magic as an example, because chaos magic is chaotic, it can't only work well for one race.

The bus stopped, and I got out. It was at an old abandoned warehouse-like building. I think the dude I was arguing with got out too, because I distinctly remember cursing and somebody saying that we should leave, right away, before the others come. What others? I had no idea. I explored the old building, and it was gradually getting dark. I think that whoever was warning me to leave ran like hell themselves, because soon after it got dark, the trains started arriving.

Ghost trains. Full of dead people. As I saw them start to arrive, I remembered that it was Halloween, and cursed myself for not following the guy that said to get the hell out. It was a hodgepodge of ghosts, although they looked more like zombies, more physical, but less brain-eating. Most of them seemed quite rational. There was tons of people... everyone from victims of the Holocaust to old, dead kings and emperors. I remembered something that the guy had said before he left, about how the dead get together on halloween and they try to perform a certain magical rite... but it always gets fucked up and they all, more or less, get blasted back to the netherworld. I decided it was time to go.

I couldn't go yet, though. They wouldn't let me. It was some kind of huge gathering/party, and whether I liked it or not, I was drafted to help out. I was a waitress, so to speak, and helped carry all of the food out to all of the dead people, trying to be sure that I paid the proper respect to this or that dead royalty, trying to avoid a conflict. I greeted one guy by his name, and he was overjoyed to see that somebody remembered him. I tried to get away again, but one of the chefs wanted to come with me. I asked him where his wife was, and he looked perplexed, then tried to go find her. I snuck out. Woke up.

The first dream that I had was rather disturbing, it was something like a video game, except it wasn't. You had the option of helping this one rather crazy guy that these scientists had been experimenting on, and help fight the scientists and the corporations, or you could help the scientists who would eventually turn you into an experiment as well. For example, the crazy guy - who was rather nice - found a small toy-like object in his room, that he'd been working on. The scientists discovered it and wanted to use it for some sort of military defense project. You had a choice to help one or the other.

The first time around I helped the scientists, not understanding wholly what I was doing. They tortured the crazy guy did bizzare experiments that involved removing and replacing body parts, or evicerating him, or something. He kept getting crazier and crazier, until the scientists were worried that he'd snap and kill us all. I made the scientists promise that they wouldn't evicerate me - which I think they did end up doing. The scientists were cold and calculating, almost sociopathic in their disregard for life.

The second time around was the toy-object scenerio and I helped the crazy guy. We ran from the scientists, but they kept following us, and they always had better technology. We had to use a rope and a pulley-handle-thing to swing across this wide expanse, while they had small planes and speedboats. They kept telling me that their way was easier, why must I make things so difficult on myself, etc.

The second dream was strange. There was a sort of lightbox machine that displayed star trek scenes in miniature. Later, I was a cat-like creature, either able to become quadrupedal or quadrupedal, and there was another one, possibly my mate, hiding in some tall grass. I rolled in the grass, and pounced them, but then we had to hide because the 'Men in Grey' were coming. The men in grey were scarier than the men in black because they blended in a lot better. I sunk down low in the grass as the men in grey looked for us. I scooted away from them very slowly, and created an illusion of the grass rumpling in the other direction, and made my escape.

Weird, post-apocolyptic sort of dream. There was water and death everywhere. I had an adversary, this one evil woman who I'm fairly sure was either super-powerful before the collapse or caused it. It was.. very weird. There were dead animals and people a few feet under the surface of the ocean, laying on top of ledges... whether man-made or artificial I don't know. Death, decay. Some survived, I was one, humanoid, don't recall if entirely human. I had a small tribalish following of animals and people. At one point the lady needed to get to this one part that was guarded by me, I was afraid, so I jumped out of the way, and she laughed at me. I remember doing... something to try to chase her away, putting all of my will and hatred behind it, a magic spell involving coke cans and dead flesh, but it wasn't right and she brushed it aside, laughing, and suggested something specific to try in the future.

music: Shirley Bassey - History Repeating (Propellerhead Mix)
We were very much like an evil set of X-men, I think to the point where that's what we literally were. We were in our base, and we got infiltrated by a guy we called Cyclops who was wearing a lot of yellow. We didn't like this because he could tell how our base was powered and thusly shut us down, so we all chased after him through this small door and into the steampunky underpinnings of our base. I think that we had been doing a lot of experiments, because I remember things like "guy with yellow eyes", so we probably passed some experiment enclosures as we chased him.

He ran down and down and down and we chased, and then, he started climbing up a ladder, and we followed. Throughout this entire dream I had an intense sense of Deja Vu and that song, "Just a bit of history repeating" going on around me. We tried to grab him but we were unsuccessful and he managed to escape. He stole something from inside our base, something experimental, and we lamented its loss.

There was another, related part where one of the mutants was posessed by demons (the good guys) and was hiding out in his own town, with roving bands of demons/mutants protecting it. I think he was corrupted with power or something, or it had to do with the experimental bit that the yellow dude stole. We were having to infiltrate this town and kick/kill off the roving bands in an attempt to get to the 'boss'

Dreamt I was in a game development class. Was finding it difficult to find a graphics/physics/sound engine that'd play well together. Then I played this really weird (but cool!) game. I don't really know what the point of it was, but there were a lot of problems that you had to solve in order to unlock other parts of the game. At one point there were these whiplike tendril things coming out of the ground, forinstance, and they would hurt anyone that got near 'em. They were a direct representation of a certain being's anger (spirit? god?) and until it was appeased it would do the same.. so you had to question the critter (this one lived in a lake) and try to figure out what you had to do in order to appease it. Apparently there was this snobbish tree woman that pissed it off. So I went to find her, and she wouldn't even talk to me until I proved myself worthy, I had to do some other shit first. Even after I had supposedly earned her eternal gratitude she had to catch herself from saying that I "wasn't tree enough". I also apparently chose a hangliding kit on character creation and that was pretty fun to use. And cheddar cheese (sharp of course) was the key element in turning the bull god evil. Don't ask me what that means.

I apparently went to Japan to learn Japanese. This is really stupid, seeing as how I have no interest in this irl, and although I do watch a lot of anime, I know better. Anyways, in the dream I didn't know any better. I was like "Hm! Japan! I better learn Japanese! I believe my knowledge of anime will be an advantage." The Japanese people laughed at me. The school I was in was more like a really big house, and it had a yard. The ergonomics were really neat, you didn't feel pressured or anything, and there were a lot of couches and other various furniture. I remember seeing a huge white rooster outside and giggling a bit at the fact that farm animals roamed so freely. I also remember some sort of travel guide informing us that navigating in Japan via cars is impossible, that we should walk whenever possible and take a bus/train otherwise. (At least some parts of this dream are right!)

We all gathered in some type of cafeteria/meeting place and were handed out textbooks, which had lots of really neat full color pages. Everybody was speaking in a mishmash of japanese and english, and asking me questions to which my only response was to stare blankly. The leader had us turn our books to a certain page (I got a bit lost) and started singing a song, in english. I felt that I was supposed to know this song. I didn't. I looked off of my neighbor's book and got the right page just in time to join the rest of the cafeteria hall in singing the chorus.. something like.. o/~ She tricked the man into the window... tricked the man into the night.. o/~ it was really weird, I woke up with that in my head, and I still remember the tune.

CBAGABAG
CBAGABG

^^ is the chorus. Wish I could remember it, it was a really cool song that reminded me vaguely of Toto's "Susana" but wasn't anything like it in reality.

Vaguely Insulting Dream
09:54am 21/12/2004

I was in a class full of AP kids for some reason. (If you never had AP kids in your school, they were the snooty, stuck up kids who all wanted to be valedictorian.) The usual teacher was gone, and in her place was a snooty bitch teacher. We were handed out books and a study packet, and we went verbally through a couple of stories. It was obscure, elizabethan or victorian poetry and short stories, none of which I recognized. I was able to keep up for awhile, but then they changed to a page that I just didn't have in my book, or rather, that I couldn't find. The books were numbered oddly, rather than going 1-whatever like normal books, these ones went from 1 to, say, 20, and then started at 1 again the next chapter. I asked the teacher what page we were on and she gave me an evil look and started lecturing in spanish, which I partly understood. She said page 8, but... what page 8? I went flipping through the 500-someodd page book trying to find the right one, that matched the stanzas on the overhead projector. Then for some reason the teacher started talking about magnetism, and then wormhole physics. She didn't give any space in between the two subjects. I said, "Hey, this might be a stupid question, but will magnets lose energy if exposed to something that strains them for an extended period of time?" She said, "They can. And then returned to her teaching. Then I woke up and thought there was a spider on me (felt like something crawling up my shirt) and tried to beat it to death. The end.

I was walking along the bouldery outside edge of this lake, to go see this bird. This bird was old and senile, and was minding a clutch of eggs, which had to have a fire going around them at all times, or they'd die. At a couple points I got frustrated because the bird was confused and wasn't doing a very good job of keeping the eggs lit, I had to keep helping the bird. Eventually I got frustrated enough that I told the bird to just leave me with the eggs, because it wasn't doing anything other than hindering. That's when I realized that this was the same exact thing that happened to that last bird, and I'd be here until I got old and senile and somebody new told me I was inept and took my place, and that the old bird that I told to go away went off to die.

As I sat there, tending the eggs on my little small plateau, it started to rain. Backwards. Water rose from the ground and got about three or four feet in the air before it started puddling. One of the puddles got about 2' across and I stared at the levitating water, before poking it, thinking "Wow, this is a lot of detail for a dream".

I was some sort of rebel. I really don't know why people wanted me dead, but sure enough, they did. At one point we went to a hotel room and were trying to protect this 12 year old kid from this organization. "We" being myself and two others. At one point during the time we were in this hotel room, I was munching on marshmallows about an inch in diameter, an experimental version of lucky charms. I guess they wanted to see if people would be lazy and just eat the damn marshmallows alone. They were very crunchy. I offered some to the kid, and he looked at me like I was smoking crack.

Well, somehow we got word that an assassin was coming to kill us, they'd found us somehow, so we patiently waited somewhere out of the way while he investigated our hotel room, and shot the pillows we'd piled up as bodies with his silenced gun. We took the elevator while he was distracted. Then, for god knows what reason, we drove to the store to pick up a few items, including carrot cake. We all split up to find the stuff, and I got two of the items... only to find that somebody else had already gotten carrot cake and I had to put it back. Unfortunately, one of the assassins was monitoring the situation and chased us.. I think we did something akin to kicking him in the face and running away and driving off.

Somehow I lost the other two of my companions along the way, and ended up at this place by the beach where they tested experimental aircraft. In this case, there were a few gliders. They were of an interesting design... imagine a hangliding metal frame shaped like a bat, but attached to one's arms so that you can adjust the wing direction and pitch. I put one on and ran like hell, then tucked my feet up into the hind-end of the thing and slowly started gliding away. My assassin, hot on my tail, aggrivatedly followed suit, and we started a slow-motion chase along the beach. Further out the beach was pretty, white sands and crystal blue water, but back here along the bay it was craggy and had a lot of cliffs.

I tried to evade my pursuer, but he kept gaining on me. In desperation, I tilted so I was sideways, for some reason thinking that'd help me go faster. For being along an ocean this place had terrible thermals, or perhaps it was the fact that the gliders were flexible and I kept bending at the wrong times. I took a chance and went diagnonally out away from the cliff and towards a nice, beachy island-type thing, with a lot of rocks. Somehow in all of this, my clever maneuvering caused the Worst Assasin Ever to crash, and chase after my stupid low-flying self, trying to grab my ankles. I found one thermal and managed to lift myself about 20' into the air, too far for him to catch. I was like a crappy kite, for the most part, on a very unwindy day. I tried jumping off of some of these rock crags to get higher, but.. to no luck. The air did want to blow me sideways though, and it did that a lot.

For some reason I decided to double back, maybe to figure out where in this convolued plot I left my friends. So I started slowly sailing back the way I came. Too late I realized they'd sent a competent assassin to replace the loser (quite possibly the same guy as from the hotel room) as I spotted a flash of metal and an angry face. I tried to gain altitude, but only managed to crash into the ocean.

I knew he was going to shoot me, and I've been shot before in dreams, so some part of me was going "Ehhh... no, no I don't think so, time to wake up, time to get out of this dream now, hurry up, I don't want him to shoot me" and I woke up.

In another dream, or possibly a related one (I don't know if phin was one of the other 2 rebels) Phin came in with anime hair. Giant, yellow, supersaiyan anime hair. I laughed at him and mentioned that I was of mixed feelings about this, while I found him sexy, I couldn't take him seriously with it. Then apparently I woke up and told phin about this hair, even though I was still dreaming and even though he still had it.

The night before this last one: I was minding an aquarium, one small enough to go in somebody's house, except the fish and things inside could talk. At one point the brine shrimp was hitting on me. "Hey baby, what's up?" sort of stuff.

One dream I had involved four wolves and a horse. For some reason, the wolves were trying really hard to turn the horse into a wolf. They tried something that involved death, but it went horribly, horribly wrong, and everybody got reincarnated. The wolves had a hell of a time finding the horse in his new body.

Another dream I had was... really strange. It was like some sort of labor camp. The 'leaders' would corrall all of us up, and it was cramped, smelly, and nobody wanted to be there. One part of this building was a library of sorts, with doors that led out back, one led to a 'slide' or chute sort of thing that led out to this lagoon full of shit (?!) and to an external building that apparently was used to show movies. The other one led out to a parking lot and a rental car place. I, and several others, tried escaping more than once. We went out to the shit lagoon and tried to climb the fence. We went out to the parking lot and rented a car to try to drive away. They always found us and brought us back. We even tried hiding in the library, in shelves and in drawers where we thought the leaders wouldn't find us when they tried to corall everybody up.

We escaped at one point somehow, probably by renting a tank, and drove our way to the forest. Then we were suddenly very heavy birds (think something like an albatross or pelican) that could fly but had real trouble getting off the ground. Don't know if we were anthro or not. We flew up this mountain slowly until the 'leaders' didn't want to follow us anymore. Then, somehow, we multiplied. And multiplied. And multiplied, until the hill was covered with birds and we'd destroyed most of the foliage. A lesson perhaps?

I also had another dream that involved getting like $165 million to kill a guy, but getting it in 165 one-million bills, and having nowhere to cash it. I think I ended up deciding to start a business and launder the money through there.

I dreamt I was in an aquarium with a ton of annoying people. I had the ability to shapeshift into any animal, and I was trying to decide which one of the creatures in the aquarium was annoying/ugly/painful enough to use it against the idiots. I thought about turning into a great white, but then I remembered that there was only one of those, so I'd kinda stick out. As I was pondering, a sea pig - not a creature that exists irl but like a pig of the sea - came up to me and I was petting it. It was very slimy, covered with algae and such. I decided on that form.

It was... Sometime in the future. There was earth, and then there was a bunch of people who lived in space who were rebelling for some godawful reason, causing a civil war. Massive battles occured, and apparently both sides were advanced enough to have weapons on their spaceships, as I didn't really see too many land battles. I don't remember what side I was on, but we had a mission to explode this enemy space station and send it crashing into one of their bases, either in space or on earth. Supposedly this thing would cause a really, really big explosion. There was a fairly large group of people, and we suspected (But didn't know for sure) that the rebels knew we were there, even though this station was abandoned.

We infiltrated the base and set to work, having to place a set of 6 charges. We split off into teams of 2 I think. The perspective kept panning to different groups, kind of like a movie. Various groups encountered problems on the station... at one point there were these huge cybernetic bugs that liked killing and eating people. You had to distract them by throwing something on the ground. After the charges were placed, this really fat woman was injured, and passed out.. she had to be carried out by some of the guys. One of the men got his abdomen split open by this wire the enemy had strung across a doorway, then got finished off by some sort of crossbow-like device. One of our guys on the way back saw it, and shot the dude who was waiting. They'd found us. After a bunch of small skirmishes the rest of us (including the guys toting the fat woman) got back to the ship, and we started hauling ass so we wouldn't get caught in the blast. I think, but am not sure, that some of the enemy stowed away on the ship and lay in wait for when we least expected it...

I dreamt I was in an episode of Aeon Flux, or playing a game related to such. I was in a grocery store when someone announced who I was... I did several rounds of trying different tactics to avoid my pursuers (suddenly everyone in the grocery store were my pursuers), including knocking stuff off the shelves, throwing carts at people, and trying like hell to make it to the door. If I failed it started over again where I started. The tactic that succeeded the best was knocking everything off of shelves as I ran past, then making it up to the second floor of the grocery store, and shooting a line across the parking lot. Either that or the one where I crashed a car, which caused a big pileup, and running across the parkinglot.

When I got to the other side, I infiltrated a building where 'Trevor' was building android-like dolls from a sample of human skin. My skin. I nabbed the source-vial that all the samples were grown from and one of the dolls, said a snarky comment, and tried to escape... when I woke up.

Epporai, God of Death
06:47am 16/10/2004
In the first part of the dream, I was some kind of furry.. I had a natural affinity for flames.. but for some reason, when I tried to take my laundry out of my room, I was stopped by some kind of force-shield and set on fire, even though I didn't burn. The wall morphed into a large wooden door/gateway, and another wall set on fire. A voice laughed.. telling me that I couldn't defeat him. I quelched the fires on/in the wall with my fist.. these ones did burn, and I got quite angry. The voice seemed surprised that I was able to kill the fires. I grabbed a chair and peeked over the top of the door.. where I saw the god of death, sitting on a throne-like thing amongst something that looked like a bad movie set.. tons of fog with little islands with torture devices, etc on them, skeletons, etc. I complimented him on his decorating. I remained on fire, but not burning.. it was kinda neat. Not normal colored flames either.. blue/white. Sometime later I meet the queen/princess and ask her if she's ever met Epporai or got set on fire. She tells me a story/flashback.

The dream switched gears and I was some sort of noble.. a queen or princess. I was ill, and my prophets told me that I had to appease the god of death. During this weird ritual I start masturbating on this bowl of fruit.. though in my intoxicated state I'm actually having sex with Epporai. I finish and eat all of the fruit at once.. try desperately to chew it up... but then my mouth freezes and my eyes roll into the back of my head, as I'm in some sort of seizure. My attendants pry my mouth open and remove the fruit.. noticing the presence of worms and crawly stuff in the half-eaten pieces.. and say something akin to "Yes, she's met the god of death". Somehow, I go through the same fight as above, perhaps having sex with Epporai again.. I don't quite remember, but in the end, I got over it and become more healthy than before.

A previous dream dealt with tiggy and I, as furries, flying around a river canyon area, diving down, rising back up, landing on rock outcroppings, etc. Don't really remember the point of it, if there was one.
